Lisa & Phil :: The Beach House

Well Easter is on the way at the end of this beautiful week – and it’s feeling like the perfect time to feature a beautiful blush wedding from last summer. Pretty pastels always feel so clean and refreshing!!
FLEURtacious is officially a year and a month old now, so it’s been fun to reflect on the gorgeous weddings I was asked to be a part of in 2014 and to build on the excitement of what the coming season has in store!

I first met with Lisa over a coffee chat with Barb from French Kiss Events. She was super easy going, fun and just excited for all the gorgeous elements to come together. I love people like this!! Lisa & Phil :: The Beach HouseBlush was definitely a big colour in 2014… It can be combined with any number of accent colours, but when mixed with a simple grey and ivory – it’s a pure wedding classic!!

As do many brides during late spring and early summer, Lisa was really hoping for peonies in her bouquet… Since this was a late July wedding, we were really pushing it to find a good quality product. My superhero floral wholesaler Paul pulled through again and managed to find us the last two bunches of white peonies anywhere available – I love it when wedding flower miracles happen!! There’s nothing better than a really happy bride!

French Kiss Events is always such a joy to work with, every last detail is always so perfectly planned. I also loved the custom nautical monogram expertly created by Tuktu Paper Co. which was used on the table markers and seating areas etc.Lisa & Phil :: The Beach House Lisa & Phil :: The Beach House Lisa & Phil :: The Beach House Lisa & Phil :: The Beach House Lisa & Phil :: The Beach House
‘The Meaning of Flowers’ – I truly believe that the flowers a woman chooses to carry on her wedding day reflect her values in life, love and the future she is creating – (even if this is done subconsciously). We are all drawn to certain flowers and colours – that’s what makes us all unique….

Here are the flowers and their meanings for Lisa’s bouquet:

Peony ♥ Happy Life, Happy Marriage, Good Health & Prosperity

Pale Pink Rose ♥ Elegance

Pink Rose ♥ Grace

White Rose ♥ Purity and Innocence

Lisianthus ♥ Appreciation

Hydrangea ♥ Heartfelt Emotion

Ranunculus ♥ Radiant Charm

Carnation ♥ Pride & Beauty

Eucalyptus ♥ Protection

Lamb’s Ear ♥ Support
