I absolutely love this time of summer…
The sunsets are so vibrant, the warm breeze smells so sweet with all the gorgeous summer flowers out in full abundance and the aura surrounding most people is generally happy, free-spirited and easy going… we’re all soaking in the smoothness of the season. This is what I consider ‘Boho Summer’ evenings…
This stunning styled wedding shoot has been featured on Junebug Weddings which is VERY exciting!!
Our fabulous photographer Becca at Rivkah Photography was really hoping for a feature with this publication and once submitted, we heard back in record time for a feature date… (shot, edited, submitted and published within 3 weeks – this girl is on fire!)…
I guess they loved it as much as we all did!
Although the focus was on the lavender and gorgeous summer flowers from the farm – I couldn’t help but sneak in a few blueberries from my family’s Bluebeary Hill Farm for this editorial – it was the perfect colour combination and just the right texture for something a little unusual.
Oh – that summer evening light!!!!
Flowers featured in this bouquet consisted of the highly sought after Cafe au Lait Dahlias, beautiful Garden Roses and Hydrangeas. An abundance of Herbs including Lemon Verbena, Rosemary and Lavender added a sweet summer scent. Ribbons used were a plant dyed silk which complemented this all natural, ethereal styled bouquet perfectly.
So happy that I was asked to join in on this photoshoot (although it was right in the middle of my craziest time of year). Sometimes taking a few hours from your busy schedule to just create for yourself is the best rejuvenation you can ask for! Being surrounded by people that inspire is one of my very favourite things in life! This crew was no exception to that!
Details, details, details – Always my FAVOURITE pictures!!
Purple smoke bombs in a lavender field is pretty much just perfection!
(We were all new to using these – so I’m sure you can imagine the laughter that ensued…but you’d never know from how rockstar our model friends were…Gah! I’m so in love with these photos!!)
All flowers for this styled shoot were created by FLEURtacious by Lynda Marie using fresh product from the farm. I think I can say that it’s basically every florist’s dream to have a floral cutting garden as lush and varied as Longview Lavender Farm.
And this is why it’s hard to ever consider ‘creating with flowers’ “Work” – I really do LOVE what I do!
